What do we do?
Powell + Co, established in 1990, is a community based firm providing high quality specialist legal advice in South East London.
We hold Legal Services Commission franchises (government recognised awards for firms providing high levels of expertise and experience) for Clinical Negligence, Personal Injury, Family and Matrimonial Law and Housing work. In addition, we provide a domestic conveyancing service and help with community care problems.
Staff members are on the AvMA and Law Society Clinical Negligence Panels, and Advanced Family Law Panel. We are also members of members of APIL, the Inquest Lawyers Group, Spinal Injuries Association, the Solicitors' Family Law Association, the Housing Practitioners Association and the Building Societies' Solicitors Panel.
Funding
We always endeavour to offer the most cost effective legal advice:
- Initial free advice
- Legal Help and Legal services Commission Funding (formerly legal Aid)
- Advice under Legal Expenses Insurance policies
- Conditional Fee Agreements or "no win no fee" agreements in appropriate cases. A conditional fee agreement is a way of funding a case without running the risk of facing big legal bills if you lose.
